Writing a Project Plan: The Basis For a Successful Proposal
In many organizations, there are a lot of amazing ideas floating around, but no concrete planning taking place, so when a chance to send a proposal comes along, people panic, because they need to start from scratch to turn this idea into concrete actionable steps. If you have a convincing specific project plan prepared for all of your projects, you can use this as the basis of a proposal for submission, saving yourself a lot of time and resources.
A project plan is a comprehensive plan about what you want to do and how you will do it. It is a chance to show that you are familiar with the topic and that you have thought through how the planned actions will achieve the desired impact. It gives you a chance to prove that you have thought of everything and that if challenges arise you have a plan in place so you are able to adapt and continue with your work.
In this course we guide you step by step through the development of a project plan. The level of detail in your plan depends a lot on the time and resources you have available to develop your project plan. No matter if your project plan ends up being three pages or 50, if you develop responses to each element we take you through in this course, you will have completed the bulk of the work required to turn the project plan into a strong proposal, and present your project successfully.
In this course you will learn:
